MediWrap: Ageless Procedure Meets Modern Technology
MediWrap is a new approach to an old problem. This procedure works on shrinking the adipose tissue of fat, known as cellulite, found directly below the surface of the skin. Cellulite, those lumps, bumps, and bulges that form on the hips, upper arms and stomach, is not regular fat, so regular diet and exercise won’t help. Using the body’s own heat supply coupled with cellulite inhibitors, the MediWrap offers appreciable results after the very first wrap.
The treatment is a method of taking off inches and tightening skin in just one hour. It involves wrapping the body with elastic medical wraps that have been soaked in a special solution. The wraps are applied firmly to areas needing inch loss, and lightly to areas where only skin tightening is desired. It is safe, healthy and very relaxing.
- MediWrap utilizes an all natural mineral solution which detoxifies the epidermis and increases elasticity, resulting in a softer and firmer appearance.
- MediWrap is designed to open the pores of the skin, allowing the solution to penetrate more quickly and effectively.
Excellent results have been achieved by combining MediWraps once per week with the light laser energy of Ultimate Light twice a week and a sensible diet. The inch loss is not a temporary water loss such as you would experience after a steam bath.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is a session?
Please allow a minimum of 1-1/2 hours. You are actually in the wraps for only 1 hour; while wrapped, you are free to read, sleep or visit with others in the center. The remaining 30 minutes are for weighing, measuring, undressing, and dressing.
What is the special solution?
We use a mildly buffered, PH controlled isotonic solution. It contains a combination of minerals that aid in actually rejuvenating the body’s mineral supply, both during and after the treatment. No clay, mud or seaweed is used.
How often can I be treated?
You can be treated as often as you wish. If you have weight to lose, we recommend once or twice a week so you will have time to lose some weight between visits. The advantage of this is that you will have a tendency to lose most of the bulk from problem spots where you need to. Also, this frequency helps keep the skin tight as your weight continues to decrease.
How many treatments will I need?
That depends on several things; such as how many inches you wish to lose, the number of inches lost per visit, how loose your skin is, and how committed you are to a weight loss program. Normally, we would wrap you once or twice a week until you reach your goal.
What do I wear during treatment?
The procedure is done with women dressed in panties and bra (which will get wet during the treatment so always bring an extra pair to wear home). Men are asked to bring a swim suit or shorts to be wrapped in.
How much weight will I lose?
The procedure is designed to take off inches rather than pounds. Although everyone loses inches in the process, not everyone loses weight.
What is meant by “total inch loss”?
Before the treatment, measurements are taken of various parts of the body (upper arm, midriff, waist, hips and thighs) and recorded in your personal file. After you are unwrapped, these areas are re-measured, and the amount of loss in each area is also recorded. These losses are added together to determine your “total inch loss.”
Will the inches lost come back?
No. In our experience, lost inches will not come back as long as you maintain your present weight or lose weight. We have found that you actually have to gain weight to increase your inches.
Can the body wrap hurt me?
No. Treatments have proven to be safe and non-allergenic for over 35 years. If you have a medical problem we ask that you consult your personal physician. We will not wrap women during pregnancy, or anyone with recent surgery, any unhealed incisions, large skin abrasions or rash.
Should I eat before the procedure?
We suggest that you do not eat before a wrap, but a light meal or snack should not make you uncomfortable.
Should I cut down on fluids after treatment?
No. Your body has a continuing need for fluids, and liquids will not put lost inches back on. We recommend 6 to 8 glasses of water per day. This will enable the body to break down and flush out fatty deposits through natural body elimination.
What will the treatment do to my skin?
Our patients tell us their skin is smoother and tighter after treatment. We have many clients who do not need to lose weight, but need skin tightening because of weight loss, or to simply help tighten skin that has become saggy over the years. Our procedure will also reduce the size and color of stretch marks.
What happens after the wrap?
Nothing special. You simply go on with your day’s activities. If you leave the solution on your skin for 8-16 hours after the treatment there will be a small additional inch loss and skin tightening. No shower is required since you will feel very clean after the procedure.
MediWrap is frequently added after the Ultimate Light treatment to enhance the skin tightening and the reduction of cellulite. Usually two to three Ultimate Light treatments a week with combined with one MediWrap treatment.
